These Policies form part of HourShine's Terms of Service and apply to all programs offered by HourShine unless otherwise agreed in writing.
While the Terms of Service establish the general legal relationship between HourShine and its clients, these Program Policies explain how our programs operate in practice, including scheduling, attendance, refunds, communication, academic expectations, and program-specific procedures.
By enrolling in or participating in any HourShine program, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Program Policies.
If any provision of these Policies conflicts with applicable law, the applicable law shall prevail to the extent required.
Chapter 1. General Policies
Article 1. Scope
These Policies apply to all HourShine programs, including:
Writing
Research & Projects
Debate & Harkness
Admissions Strategy
Academic Strategy
Each program may have additional policies specific to its educational format and objectives.

Students and parents residing outside Korea are responsible for confirming applicable time differences, including daylight saving time where applicable.
Article 4. Scheduling
Class schedules are confirmed through email, KakaoTalk, the booking system, calendar invitation, or another designated communication channel.
Students and parents are responsible for attending confirmed sessions on time.
HourShine may adjust schedules when reasonably necessary due to operational circumstances. Whenever possible, advance notice will be provided.
Article 5. Rescheduling and Cancellation (One-on-One Programs)
For Writing, Research & Projects, Admissions Strategy, and Academic Strategy programs, requests to reschedule or cancel a session must be submitted at least twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled start time.
Requests made at least 24 hours in advance may be rescheduled, subject to mentor availability and the applicable package validity period.
The following situations may result in the session being considered used:
Cancellation within 24 hours
Rescheduling within 24 hours
Failure to attend without prior notice
Scheduling errors by the student or parent
Internet or technical issues on the student's side
Other circumstances preventing participation that are not caused by HourShine

Late submissions may result in:
Reduced pre-session review

The amount of material that can reasonably be reviewed during a session depends on its length, complexity, and educational objectives.
Submission by the requested deadline does not guarantee that all submitted materials will be reviewed before the scheduled session.
